It all started when a dear friend asked me to cut flowers from my meadow (specifically, the Helenium, seen above) to decorate her party. I said, “No WAY! Those are for the bees!” As you can gather, I am really, really great friend. Very popular.
A few weeks later, it occurred to me that if I simply plant flowers like crops, I could, in fact, share them with friends and local florists.
And if I don’t put nasty pesticides or use round-up to grow said flowers, then the bees and butterflies would still thrive in their habitat.
So Laughing Earth Flower Farm was born. All thanks to the bees.
